Andy Barry

Assistant Athletics Director for Business and Finance

Andy Barry was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Business and Finance at Xavier University in August 2015. In this role, he oversees financial strategy and budgeting, operations, compliance, and audit documentation for the University’s 19-sport athletics program and the Cintas Center.

Barry most recently served as Director of Business Operations for the Cintas Center, where he managed financial and operational functions for the arena. Previously, he directed Premium Seating and Ticketing for nine years, overseeing all aspects of suites and premium seating, as well as athletic and non-athletic ticket operations, including supervision of the ticket manager and staff.

For 18 years, Barry also managed Xavier’s licensing and trademark program, ensuring brand integrity and compliance. His career at Xavier began in 1988 as Athletic Ticket Manager and Assistant to Greg Park, Associate Athletic Director for Business.

A native of Cincinnati, Barry joined Xavier after two years in the Cincinnati Reds Ticket Office, where he worked as a cashier balancing deposits and managing Ticketmaster operations, later serving as Vault Manager.

Barry earned his MBA in Management from Xavier University in 1994 and his BBA in Finance with a Certificate in Economics from the University of Cincinnati in 1986.

He resides in Colerain Township with his wife, Jenny, a chemical engineer.
