Cincinnati Celebrates the Musketeers' Sweet 16 Run

Mar 24, 2023

If you’re in Cincinnati this weekend, you’ll probably notice that the city looks a little blue—Xavier blue, to be exact.

This weekend, businesses in Cincinnati are showing support for the Xavier Musketeers as they head into the Sweet 16 round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. The Cincinnati sign on the western side of downtown’s Duke Energy Convention Center will be illuminated with blue lights during Friday night’s game. Fountain Square will also be lit up with blue lights. TQL Stadium and Music Hall will be glowing blue as well.

CVG Airport will show their support for Xavier with digital displays throughout the airport. And Great American Ballpark will have digital displays playing throughout the night.

“The energy throughout Cincinnati is infectious—you can feel the excitement heading into Friday’s game,” said Doug Ruschman, Xavier's Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “We love our hometown, and the support of the city has been incredible.”

Thanks for Your Support, Cincinnati!
