Xavier’s College of Nursing offers different tracks for the Master of Science in Nursing which includes family nurse practitioner (FNP), nurse education and forensic nursing 100% online for registered nurses. RN's pursing a MSN in forensics may also consider Xavier's dual degree with includes the MSN - Forensic track and a MS with a Criminal Justice major degree also 100% online.

Individuals with a bachelor's degree in another field who wish to prepare for a career as a registered nurse can apply to Xavier's full-time on campus 20-month MSN Direct Entry as Second Degree (MIDAS) program. 

The Doctor of Nursing Practice in Population Health Leadership (DNP) program is a 100% online post-master's doctoral program that is designed as a population health-focused program for nurses from various practive settings to become leaders in addressing the complexity of healthcare outcomes in the 21st century.

Post-master's certificates in family nurse practitioner (FNP) and education are available 100% online for registered nurses who have already optained a MSN or higher. 

Rankings and Accreditations

Xavier’s Nursing program has a 90% pass rate on Nurse Practitioner certification exams by our FNP graduate students. It is one of only 17 schools endorsed nationally by the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC), and are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
