Urban Farm: Field Trip (Free Event!)

(Departs from Xavier's campus at 1pm)

Would you like to be part of a conversation about food and the future?

Join us for a free, hands-on tour of Mustard Seed Farm in Morningside, Kentucky on April 8th.

Visiting scholar and activist Bill Vitek, of the New Perennials Project will join local regenerative farmer Marykate Glenn of Mustard Seed Farms at Morningview Farm in Kentucky (about 30 minutes from Xavier) for a hands-on tour and conversation about perenniality in agriculture and more rural environments. The tour will be two hours, with an hour total of travel time.

Bill Vitek will also be giving a lecture titled, “The New Perennials Project: Nourishing Deep Roots in Communities and Classrooms” on Tuesday, April 9 at 4 pm in Kennedy Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
