Xavier University Pulse Survey & Climate Assessment

Xavier seeks to be a community where all students, staff and faculty can fully participate in the life of the University, a strong and healthy climate is critical to achieving this goal. Therefore, the University conducts an annual climate survey to assess how all members of our community experience our campus climate. The goal of this anonymous survey is to actively monitor, and respond to, how students and employees assess learning, living and working at Xavier.

Every five years we do a comprehensive climate survey. Annually, between climate surveys, we do a shorter “pulse” survey to track trends and identify improvements and / or new challenges.

These surveys are your opportunity to share your personal experiences and observations and to offer suggestions for how we might enhance Xavier’s climate and create an environment where everyone can succeed.

Participation in these surveys is anonymous and all results are reported in group form only. Individuals are not be identifiable.

Previous Climate and Pulse Surveys have made a direct impact on conversations and action items that impact the student, staff and faculty experience.

This academic year (AY22) the University will advance several strategic initiatives to improve our campus climate, details of which are provided below. Also, last year's survey findings, and previous climate trends, will be used in the spring to inform our upcoming University strategic planning.
