Relate. Advocate. Empower. Educate.
We serve with and for Xavier students.
The Center for Diversity and Inclusion facilitates the institutional effort to create a diverse, inclusive, and equitable campus for all students; especially for students of color, LGBTQAI+ students, first-generation college attendees, and women students.
We do this by offering:
- Cultural proficiency workshops
- Staff-facilitated support groups
- Awareness/heritage month celebrations
- Student one-on-one meetings
You have a place here at Xavier University.
Are you are wondering how you will find a sense of belonging at Xavier as a student of color, international student, woman, and/or LGBTQAI-identified person? Check out the student groups you can join and/or the videos of students sharing how they engage, persist, succeed and ultimately graduate from Xavier University.
An inside look
At the CDI, as it's commonly called, we facilitate experiential learning opportunities for students to increase their awareness of social problems, to appreciate all kinds of diversity, to engage effectively across differences, discover commonalities, and enhance their capacity to be socially responsible leaders. Through our various social media platforms, we seek to educate (Facebook), converse (Twitter) and market upcoming events (Instagram). In the slideshow below, you will find a glimpse of how we embody inclusive excellence, and the opportunities that await!
