FOR EVERY STUDENT
WHO DESERVES A XAVIER EDUCATION.
Expanding opportunity for future Musketeers.
With a $269 million endowment — built almost entirely in just the past 25 years — Xavier is already fueling more than 500 scholarships and academic programs that prepare students who far outpace national outcomes in medical school placement, employment and service. But when compared to peer universities, many of whom have endowments of $500 million to $1 billion or more, Xavier’s resources are modest. Imagine what our students could accomplish if we had more. With your support, we can expand scholarships, sustain excellence and amplify Xavier’s impact for generations. Below is the current breakdown of annual endowment spending:

Xavier disbursed more than $8.2 million from 525 endowed scholarships, impacting 795 students in FY24.
Xavier’s endowment funded programs, materials and salaries across a variety of academic departments on campus.
Xavier allocated $4.6 million from the endowment to fund Sustaining Excellence project initiatives, with the goal of eliminating operating deficits.
Xavier’s 19 Division I athletics teams received more than $740,000 from endowed awards to cover program costs and fees.
Disbursements from the endowment produced 16 endowed chair awards and 9 library endowments.
A percentage of the endowment covered interest payments on outstanding debt.
For every lasting impact.
A Scholarship rooted in cura personalis.
Affectionately known as “Father B,” Albert Bischoff, S.J., spent nearly five decades as a beloved mentor, minister and friend to generations of Xavier students. In memory of his lifelong commitment to cura personalis — caring for the whole person — alumni created the Albert J. Bischoff Endowed Scholarship. Each year, it provides vital support to a student with financial need, ensuring that Father B’s spirit of compassion and presence continues to shape campus life for years to come.
