Summer 2013 Newsletter

As fiscal year 2013 comes to a close, I would like to share what we accomplished since I sent you our spring newsletter.

We celebrated 5 years of our Giving Circle and ended this year with 105 Giving Circle members. We were able to award $74,646 to 9 grants. We have raised over $300,000 for the Giving Circle and have awarded 46 grants in those 5 years. Thank you to all that have made this possible. Our annual luncheon to announce the award winners took place on April 25th. At the luncheon, Father Graham committed to match every new donation made to the Women of Excellence Giving Circle and every additional dollar donation made to the Giving Circle above the donation made the prior year. Please consider joining the Giving Circle this year or if you are already a member, increasing your gift. We appreciate anything you can do and all dollars support student group and faculty projects on campus.

The Women of Excellence Endowed Scholarship stands at $85,000 thanks to our 11 founding members, our Giving Circle members and additional gifts that we have received. Please consider a gift directed towards this scholarship as every dollar increases the amount of money we can award to a deserving female student.

You can become a member by making your online contribution using your credit card or by sending a check made out to Xavier University, 3800 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45207-5430, Attn: Anne Ernst. Please note "WOX"in the memo field.

WOX collaborated with other Xavier organizations to host some excellent events this past quarter. Please check out the stories below.

As always, we welcome your insight and thoughts on how we as a community can continue to focus on our mission to honor, extend and advance the legacy of Xavier and Edgecliff's extraordinary women graduates, as well as provide opportunities for women to grow as organizational and philanthropic leaders for the University. Please share your input by emailing me at or calling 513-745-2865.

Kind Regards ,
