President

Sara Dement

Sara DeMent is currently working for Sysco as a Pricing Manager where she provides leadership to the Profit Management - Contract Compliance Team. Sara earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in Hospitality Management and holds her MBA: Masters of Business Administration from Xavier University. Sara's vision is to ensure others are celebrating their strengths and pursuing their passions. Beyond Xavier, Sara works for various organizations including Ohio Restaurant Association Education Foundation, Women's Foodservice Forum, National Associations of Women MBAs, and Jacob's Ladder, a local college scholarship and life skills program for at risk youth.

Suzanne Oberer

Suzanne Oberer currently works at WILD Flavors, Inc. as the Business Development Manager for Asia Pacific and Latin America. She completed the MBA program at Xavier in May 2013 with a concentration in International Business and an emphasis in Marketing. Prior to that, she received a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Wright State University. In her free time, Susie enjoys a variety of activities including traveling, photography, hiking, scuba diving, soccer, tennis, reading, and playing guitar. This is her second year on the XWMBA board, and she is looking forward to collaborating with fellow board members to provide resources and events that further the personal and professional development of MBA students and alumni.

Director of Marketing

Korey Edwards

Korey completed the Xavier MBA program in 2013 and this is her second year on the board. She currently works as a writer in the Workforce Change and Communication group at Mercer Consulting Firm. Prior to her time at Mercer, Korey worked at Game Day Communications as a Media Relations Specialist and at FOX19 as a Morning News Producer. Korey holds three Bachelor's Degrees in Broadcast Journalism, Secondary Education and Spanish from Butler University.

Leah Krauss

Leah Krauss is an IT Project manager at GE and current part-time student in the MBA program. Leah is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a BS in Engineering Science. This is Leah's first year on the board. Outside of work and school, she enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with her husband and dog.

 

 

Membership Services Sustaining Chair

Elizabeth Davis

Elizabeth Davis is a current student of the Xavier MBA program (main campus), expected to graduate in 2016. She earned her undergraduate degree at Belmont University in Art History. She works at Art Design Consultants as the Gallery Director, which includes the formulation and organization of exhibitions, managing artist relations, and assisting in client projects. She also oversees all marketing efforts including brand management, messaging, and public relations. This is Elizabeth's first year on the XWMBA Board, but she is very active in the Cincinnati community as a volunteer, serving on several committees.

Community Services Chair

Erin King

Erin King is a current student of the Xavier MBA program, expected to graduate in May 2015. She earned her undergraduate degree at Xavier University in Philosophy, Politics, and the Public. She is currently a Graduate Assistant in the Xavier MBA Programs office and an intern for Kroger Technology. Erin is a Cintas Graduate Ethics Fellow and Winter-Cohen Brueggeman Fellow for the 2014-2015 school year. This is Erin's second year on the XWMBA Board.

Leadership Development Chair

Paige Cripe

Paige Cripe works for Anthem as a Community Collaboration Manager on the Care Delivery Transformation team. She completed the Xavier MBA Program in 2014 with a concentration in Values Based Leadership. Prior to that, she received a BA in Sociology and Communications from Ursinus College. Outside of work she enjoys volunteering, traveling, strength training, a good cup of coffee, and spending time with friends and family. This is her first year on the XWMBA board.

Alumni Chair

Elizabeth Bavis

Elizabeth completed Xavier's MBA program in August of 2014 and is currently working for AstraZeneca as a Senior Validation Engineer. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. She has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for many years and has had the opportunity to work on products that help patients with diabetes, schizophrenia, alcohol addiction and breast cancer. This is her first year serving on the XWMBA Board and she is looking forward to sharing her experiences with other MBA candidates and anyone interested in becoming an MBA Candidate. In her free time, she enjoys going to the zoo, museum, or anything fun and educational with her husband and young daughter.
