About Teepa Snow
Teepa Snow lives in central North Carolina. As an occupational therapist, Teepa has more than 40 years of clinical practice working with individuals with neurological and degenerative brain changes. She developed the Positive Approach® for care of persons living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. In addition to years of clinical experience, Teepa has been a professor at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the School of Medicine’s Program on Aging and an instructor at the Duke University School of Nursing. She has been an interdisciplinary team member as a clinician, a care manager, and as an advisor to administrators and legislators.
As the owner and CEO of Positive Approach® to Care, Teepa is an internationally recognized education and training specialist. Her expertise on dementia and talents as a skill-based trainer are evident in every presentation. Teepa transposes her experience into participatory learning opportunities that make attendees feel like they are immersed in the care of an individual with dementia. Teepa’s mission is to spread understanding of neurodegenerative brain changes and promote respect and positive approaches to care for persons living with dementia and their care partners.
