Kim Diehl de Yanes

Director of International Education

Kim is the Director of the Center for International Education. She attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and received her Bachelors in International Relations, Political Science and Spanish. Afterwards, she went to Bowling Green State University and received her Master's in College Student Personnel. Kim has been in the field of International Education for over 22 years and prior to Xavier, Kim has worked at a number of different institutions including: The Ohio State University, NAFSA: Association for International Educators, Zamorano in Honduras, and the University of Texas at San Antonio. In her role at Xavier, Kim advises students on study abroad and scholarship opportunities, works with faculty members to provide outbound program opportunities, and implements numerous programs to facilitate education abroad opportunities. Not only is Kim an active member of NAFSA: Association for International Educators, but the founder of the organization, Greater Cincinnati International Educators, (GCIE).


LeeAnn Scherbauer

Education Abroad Advisor


LeeAnn Scherbauer is the Education Abroad Advisor in the Center for International Education. A two-time alumna of Xavier University, LeeAnn studied International Studies and German for her Bachelor's and recently graduated with her MBA. After undergrad, she spent the following year working as an au pair in Ratzeburg, Germany, to immerse in the culture and gain a full grasp of the German language. LeeAnn is passionate about facilitating global opportunities and learning experiences for all students through the implementation and promotion of international programs. She also advises and supports the endeavors of Muskiethon to raise money and awareness for Cincinnati Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. She is a Dayton native, but a Muskie through and through. In her free time, LeeAnn enjoys learning about languages, running 5ks, reading interesting books, exploring new cities, watching new Netflix series and attending concerts.
