Sports Management / Marketing

Graduates of Xavier University's sport management/marketing program work in a variety of sport or sport-related settings. While many graduates go on to work with professional sport teams, many work in other exciting settings. Recent graduates are employed in intercollegiate athletics, specialized sport management and marketing firms, in high school athletic administration, in commercial sport, as well as with traditional business.

Athletic Training

Athletic trainers collaborate with doctors, physical therapists, registered dietitians and others to provide care for the entire person—not just the injury.  Graduates of Xavier Universities athletic training education program are eligible to sit for the BOC exam.  Employment opportunities after graduation and certification depend upon the interests of the individual. Athletic trainers provide care for athletes in secondary schools, universities and in professional settings. They can be employed in hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation and physical therapy clinics, as well as in corporate, industrial and military settings. Athletic trainers also work in the world of NASCAR, rodeo, NASA and Cirque du Soleil.
