Dr. Bryant grew up in Edmonds, WA, a suburb of Seattle. He is an avid sports participant and fan, which helps him engage his sports studies students regarding content, issues, and examining their own experiences relative to their academic and professional pursuits within the industry. Before starting his academic role as a Teaching Professor, he spent several years in administration and coaching in college, high school, and club sports. 

With degrees in sociology, sport management, and education leadership he enjoys his opportunities to combine all of his interests and these content areas in the classroom in examining sport as it intersects with coaching, administrative leadership and education.
