Campus Indoor Masking Update
Updated Dec. 29, 2021:
As part of Xavier's update for returning to campus for the 2022 spring semester, effective Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, masks are required in public, indoor spaces like classrooms and common areas. Masks are not required in a residence hall room, recreational sports area while exercising, and dining halls while actively eating or drinking. Employees do not need to wear a mask in individual working areas.
The indoor masking requirement is intended to help mitigate a spike in COVID cases as the start of Xavier's spring semester overlaps with the peak of viral transmission from the omicron variant. The COVID Task Force continually evaluates measures to help protect the health and wellness of the Xavier community.
