Xavier University's College of Professional Sciences offers a 21-month full time classroom and clinical program.
The program requires 73 semester hours which includes courses in liberal arts and radiologic technology such as:
The Radiographic Practicum courses (12 credit hours-approximately 1750 clock hours) allow the students to practice the theories taught at Xavier and apply them in a clinical setting. The clinical hours are scheduled Monday through Friday (no weekends) between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:30 pm with the exception of two weeks of second shift (2:00 pm to 10:00 pm or 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm) in the summer months. Upon successful completion of the program, students receive an Associate Degree in Science and are eligible to apply to the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) to take their certification examination.
