Sergeant Dennis Palmer began working for the Xavier University Police Department in 2014 but his law enforcement career started in 1994. For the past five years, he has been a sergeant assigned to the second shift. Sgt. Palmer serves as the dispatch supervisor, oversees new officer field training and the bike patrol, and does the scheduling. 

Prior to coming to Xavier, Sgt. Palmer worked for the Hamilton County Court, specializing in warrant apprehension and court control. He also worked for the City of Cheviot where he assisted the drug task force. 

Sgt. Palmer is a member of the Harrison Masonic Lodge and the Dearborn County Anti-litter Initiative.
