Stephanie Brumer

Adjunct Faculty, Theatre Program

Stephanie Brumer is a dance artist, educator, choreographer, model and performer from the Northern Kentucky, Greater Cincinnati area. She has an MFA in Dance and Creative Practice from Saint Mary’s College of CA, and a BA in Theatre and Dance from Northern Kentucky University, complemented with over 25 years of experience in teaching and performing. Her professional credits include dancing, choreography, modeling, and acting, from New York to California, and as far away as Honolulu, HI.

Most recent credits include, national commercial Zone Perfect energy bar, performances at Lincoln Theater-Napa Valley CA, Dance Mission-San Francisco, guest artist-Bone and Fiddle Dance Collective, DancerWorks-Cincinnati Arts Museum’s Art After Dark. Featured works, Awaited Chorographer, concept development 2011-presesnt, this production will be presented at the Aronoff Theatre, Cincinnati OH December 2019 and site-specific dance film Collateral Beauty-Artistic director, choreographer, research and concept development featured at Mississippi Dance Alliance Dance and Film Festival. Currently, Stephanie is teaching a dance and somatic movement workshop at The Theatre Training Institute in partnership Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, is dance faculty at Xavier University, dance faculty at Northern Kentucky University School of the Arts, serves as director of NKU SOTA Dance Troupe, and as the MainStage Musical Theatre and Dance Co. choreographer and dance techniques instructor-NKU SOTA Prep program for children, and teaches at Uptown Arts-an outreach program for intercity children in Cincinnati. Stephanie loves to share her passion for dance and performance and strives to instill poise, confidence and self- awareness to reveal authenticity. Her inspiration comes from the love and support of her husband Steven and their five beautiful children.
