Julie Carroll-Keeney

Adjunct Faculty, Department of Music and Theatre

Julie Carroll-Keeney has had the great privilege to work successfully in both the performing and teaching industry for over twenty-five years. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association. Favorite performance credits include Cabaret (Texas), Damn Yankees (Lola, Dance Captain), Peter Pan (Tiger Lily), The Will Rogers Follies (Ensemble), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Alice and Sarah), Hello Dolly (Minnie Faye and Ermengarde), Anything Goes (Purity, Dance Captain), Sugar Babies (Feature and Ensemble), A Little Night Music starring Donna McKechnie (Ensemble), numerous holiday productions (Featured dancer), Paramounts’ Kings Island (Dancer, Swing, and Captain), Dollywood (Featured Dancer), and various industrials across the United States, most notably traveling between Manhattan and Las Vegas for the Nine West Group for over a decade. Julie resided in New York for a good long while and she continues to perfect her craft there with several visits each year. She has had the opportunity to study and work with many Broadway legends. She holds a BA in Theatre with a concentration in Dance from Northern Kentucky University. Teaching credits include both Adjunct and Full Time positions at Northern Kentucky University, Gotta Dance Studios (current), and a long time affiliation with the Theatre Arts Division at The University of Cincinnati/CCM Preparatory Department (current). She is, also, a faculty member here at Xavier University, teaching Musical Theatre Dance, Tap dance and both beginning and advanced Jazz dance classes. Select choreography credits include The Wedding Singer, And the World Goes ‘Round, Nunsense, Grease, Pippin, Zombies from the Beyond, A Chorus Line with Mitzi Hamilton, corporate shows for the Nine West Group, Keds, Striderite, and well over one hundred dance studio pieces. In addition, she has adjudicated dance competitions and taught master classes nationwide. Julie is delighted to be sharing her love of dance here at Xavier University.
