We are excited for our fifth annual Xavier University Honor Band & Choir Festival! Here you will find all of the information you will need about the event. Students will spend Friday evening and Saturday rehearsing and learning from Xavier faculty members Dr. Ben Chamberlain, Dr. Megan Boyd, Dr. Ellen Graham, and others.
Educators, we encourage you to attend and see the work your students are doing. You are more than welcome to sit in on rehearsals, the recital, and masterclasses. You may also join your students for meals on Saturday, however, you will be responsible for covering the cost, approximately $8-10 at the door.
Due to weather, the Honor Band & Choir Performance will now take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday January 19 in the Gallagher Theater. The performance is free and open to the public.
We encourage family, friends, and educators to come and support the work of these wonderful young people. The concert is free and open to the public.
Parking passes will be made available via email upon acceptance into the festival. The Gallagher Student Center (GSC) is located at the end of University Drive (F3 on the campus map). Parking will be available along University Drive, as well as the Brockman and Gallagher lots with the use of a parking pass. School buses can drop off students in the cul-de-sac by the GSC and can park in lots C-2 (J3 on map) or C-4 (L3 on map).
Congratulations on being chosen as a 2019 XU Honor Band & Choir participant! Please read through the information below carefully to ensure your place in this festival.
