24 Designing the home environment

In this episode we talk with Christine Trimmer about how to design a home environment that supports a child's independence through the design of the environment and the routine and activities that happen within the environment. Christine shares some practical ideas and tips as well as an overall approach.

Christine Trimmer is the co-owner of CASA Design Consulting, a company that aspires to reinvigorate families’ sense of cohesion and joy through simple and sustainable child-focused adjustments to the home environment. She has her M.Ed. in Montessori Education from Xavier University and has been a full time 6-9 Montessori teacher for 6 years. She has training in Positive Discipline and Mindfulness techniques which she uses to give parents advice on routines, consistency, and order.
