This program is limited to 12 faculty members from member institutions of the Lilly Fellows Program. Summer Seminars for College Teachers are designed for faculty at Network institutions with preference given to early-career faculty members. The application form is attached. Application should include the following:

1) Application form
2) Curriculum vitae or resume
3) A letter of interest addressing how the applicant expects to grow professionally and personally from the seminar (a description of how the applicant will benefit from participation in the seminar).
4) Reference letters from two (2) individuals aware of the applicants? background and qualifications. One of the reference letters must be from a chief academic officer or dean. The other letter should be from one's department chair or equivalent.

An email confirmation will be sent within 5 days of receipt of a complete application. If an acknowledgement is not received, please email David Burns ( to determine whether the complete application has been received.

The application deadline is November 11, 2013. Participants will be selected after the application deadline. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered.

Through the generosity of the Lilly Fellows Program in Humanities and the Arts, there is no registration cost to participate in the seminar. Stipends will also cover lodging expenses, lunches, refreshment breaks, several dinners, and will contribute toward travel costs.
