" Becoming engaged in the MHSA program at Xavier University has been thespringboard for career advancement. When discussing career developmentwith my boss, Dr. Yousuf Ahmad, he mentioned that even though I was an RN and had an MBA, I did not know the business of healthcare. At the time I challenged him about his comment - BUT he was right. When I started the program I was a Director of Clinical Informatics. Using some of the tools from the program and continued succession planning, I was promoted to a Vice President during my final year. Ten months after completing the MHSA program, I was promoted to Divisional Chief Information Officer. This series of advancements would not have happened without the Xavier University Masters in Health Administration degree. Dr. Ahmad was right!"
