Dr. France Weaver is the Associate Director of the EMHSA program and Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Administration. She has a Ph.D. in Health Policy and Administration, with a concentration in Health Economics, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a MS in Economics from University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and a BS in Economics from University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
She conducted research at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University in Bloomington IN and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) in Washington DC. She was also affiliated with the Geneva School of Economics and Management at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, where she taught Health Economics and Health Policy at the graduate level, and Penn State University, where she taught a PhD course in Research Design in Health Services Administration.
At Xavier University, she teaches Health Economics, Health Policy and Policy Analysis, and the summer capstone course at the graduate level. Dr. Weaver has taught a broad array of graduate, undergraduate and online courses, and has a large experience mentoring students in Ph.D. dissertations, Master theses, Capstone projects, graduate and undergraduate advising. Lastly, she has numerous publications, scholarly writing, and presentations in the USA and Europe.
