University Library Edible Books Event

What is an Edible Books Event?

This offbeat competition was started in 1999 by Judith A. Hoffberg and has since become an international event featured on radio, television, and newspapers. All works must be edible and have something to do with books: look like a book, include text to read, or illustrate a theme taken from a book or book title.

When is University Library's Edible Books Event?

The Library's Edible Books Event will take place on Tuesday, April 9th, 2019 from 3pm-4pm on the 3rd floor of the Conaton Learning Commons. Winners will be announced in three categories.

  1. Best in Show
  2. Most Creative Interpretation of the Book
  3. Best Student Entry

How Can I participate?

Submit your entry here. All entries must be received by April 2nd. Please bring your edible entry and a copy of the book to the Connection Center desk in the CLC by 2pm on the day of the event.
