Pharmacy College Admission Test
The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) is the required admission test for schools and colleges of pharmacy. It tests an applicant's math skills, verbal reasoning and ability, and of course, basic scientific knowledge. Almost half of the 83 pharmacy schools in the United States require or strongly recommend the PCAT. The test is approximately 300 multiple-choice questions, divided into five separate sections (Verbal Ability, Biology, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, and Chemistry). The PCAT takes three and a half hours, with only one short break in the middle.
