Joseph H. Feldhaus is the General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Trustees at Xavier University reporting directly to the President, Michael J. Graham, S.J. As General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Feldhaus is responsible for oversight of a wide variety of legal issues that impact Xavier University and is also responsible for taking minutes and preserving important Board of Trustee documents in accordance with the University's Articles of Incorporation and Code of Regulations.

Prior to assuming his duties as General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Trustees in July, 2011, Mr. Feldhaus served the University in many capacities in his private law practice at Beckman Weil Shepardson for thirty years. Mr. Feldhaus completed two years of undergraduate study at Xavier University before completing his bachelor's degree in criminal justice at the University of Cincinnati (1974) and then earned his juris doctor from Southwestern University, Los Angeles, CA (1979).

Mr. Feldhaus is an active volunteer in the local community serving as an emeritus trustee on the board of Tender Mercies and as vice-chair of the board of Kennedy Heights Development Corporation.
