Pi Upsilon Chapter

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was founded at Butler University on November 12, 1922 by seven school teachers. Sigma Gamma Rho has the distinction of being the only NPHC sorority to be founded on a predominantly white campus. What started as a support group for students of color; developed into a network of women who promoted sisterhood, scholarship and service today. Sigma Gamma Rho's aim is to enhance the quality of life within the community. Public deeds, leadership and education of youth are the hallmark of the organization's programs and activities. Pi Upsilon chapter has continued the legacy of "Greater Service, Greater Progress" since its establishment at Xavier University in April 2, 2000.
