Peer Academic Coaching is offered to Xavier students registered with Disability Services who struggle with executive functioning. The purpose of the academic coaching program is to provide Individual coaching to assist students with developing effective organizational skills, time management, and study strategies to be successful students. Coaches assist student with developing a plan to complete homework, papers, reading assignments etc. In addition, the coach can also assists with identifying appointments that need to be scheduled or assist with managing email and courses on Canvas.

We have found that it is helpful for the coach to be aware of your accommodations to be able to assist you appropriately. For example, if you have an exam and are eligible for additional time, the coach can remind you to schedule to take your exam in Disability Services. The coach will only be made aware of your accommodations not your disability.
