Support for Students

I am a student who is impacted by COVID-19. What should I do?

Students who have specific questions regarding the COVID-19 situation may submit questions through the following web form. Messages be reviewed and responded to as quickly as possible.

Emotional Concerns

If you or any other student you know is struggling as a result of this situation, the following resources are available:

  • Xavier's Office of Counseling Services, provided by Xavier, is offering teletherapy (via phone or video) to students seeking clinical mental health services.  In-person appointments are not available at this time.  Contact Counseling Serivces at 513-745-3166 option 2, for more information.
  • The Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice staff members are also available to provide faith-based support (513-745-3567).
  • If you have specific concerns about an individual student, please reach out to the Dean of Students office (513-745-3166).
  • All members of the Xavier community are encouraged to reach out in support of those in need. To mobilize campus resources to support a student, a Student Concern Report may be submitted at:

After Hours

A therapist is on-call 24/7. If you are in a crisis and need to speak with a therapist after hours, please contact Xavier University Police Department at 513-745-1000, who will put you in touch immediately with the on-call therapist. Please only utilize calling XUPD if it is an urgent mental health need after hours. All other after-hours questions and concerns should be directed to Counseling Services during regular business hours, 513-745-3022, Option 2.
