Past Projects
  • Over-the-Rhone Housing Study
    CBI recently completed an inventory of the number and affordability of residential units in the Over-the-Rhine/Pendleton neighborhoods, done on behalf of the Over-the-Rhine Community Council. Affordable housing is defined as housing with a rent or mortgage cost that takes no more than 30% of a household's income. The inventory uses a consistent methodology and draws from a variety of data sources to determine how much housing is reasonably available and affordable to households in different income categories. Underlying the analysis are questions of who can afford to live in Over-the-Rhine, and how a diverse community that provides housing to everyone can be maintained.
  • Partners For A Competitive Workforce
    What does a place-based employment strategy around targeted employment sectors look like, and how can a community build on its unique assets to help residents get a job, build skills, and move up the career ladder? CBI partnered with PCW to answer this question with organizational partners, residents, training partners, training recipients, and business leaders in eight greater Cincinnati communities through three targeted focus groups in each community. The report will include overall findings and strategies for Avondale, Bond Hill and Roselawn, Clermont County, Covington, Madisonville, Newport, Price Hill, and Walnut Hills.
