Classics Major

Classical Humanities Minor

The Classical Humanities minor is fulfilled by 18 hours of any combination of GREK, LATN, and CLAS courses. Most students take CLAS courses, which fulfill areas of the core as well. For example, Spring 2017 CLAS course offerings are:

--CLAS 160 From Romulus to Octavian (Historical Perspectives)
--CLAS 217 Intro to Church Fathers (cross lists as THEO 217, Theology Perspectives and Catholicism
and Culture Minor)
--CLAS 239 Ancient Literature, Magic, and the Occult (Diversity Flag; Writing Flag; Humanities Elective)
--CLAS 205 Classical Lit and the Moral Imagination (3rd E/RS requirement; Diversity Flag)
--CLAS 261 Roman Archaeology (Social Science; Quantitative Reasoning Flag)
