One of the great things about becoming a member of Xavier Crew is that anyone can join. Whether you have rowed throughout high school or just always thought it might be a neat sport to try, Xavier Crew is for you.

Regardless of your experience, everyone must go through the same procedure to become a member of the team. The very first step to join is to either 1. fill out the recruitment form (the link is provided in the navigation bar on the left) or 2. send an email to submitted, a coach or board member will be in contact with you. And if you feel even more adventurous, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to access cool updates about the team!

If you know for sure that you want to row for Xavier, the next step will be the paperwork. All rowers (both new and returning) are required to fill out and turn in the following four pieces of information at the start of the year.

1.     Physical

2.     Medical Health History Form

3.     Assumption of Risk/Release Wavier

4.     Copy of Your Insurance Card

Insurance cards can be either scanned or simply photographed. Please note that physicals are different from the Medical History Form all first year students are required to fill out and turn in to the University. The Medical History Forms cannot be used as a Physical to row. Xavier's McGrath Health and Wellness Center does provide a Physical Night each year for first year students, but it is advised to take care of this before the start of the school year.

After all of this is turned in, you will be well on your way to participate in practices, events, and regattas!
