Al Bischoff S.J.

Emeritus Campus Minister, Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice

Affectionately known at "Fr. B" on campus, Fr. Bischoff is a bit of a campus legend. Known by most members of the Xavier family for his penchant for greeting absolutely everyone with "Hello, Saint," Fr. B continues to preside over the 4 pm Student Mass on campus, as well as providing spiritual direction for students and community members. The CFJ's Reflection Room is named for him, and a portrait of him hangs at its entrance. He is beloved by students, faculty and staff alike, and as a longtime resident of Husman Hall, provides neighborly support to first-year students. He is a gift to our campus and we treasure the many years of service he has given to Xavier.
