Former CAS Student Named President of the University of Dallas

Jonathan Sanford, Ph.D. has been named President of the University of Dallas. Sanford graduated from Xavier in 1997 with a double major in Classics HAB and Philosophy. He later received his Ph.D. in Philosophy in 2001 from SUNY Buffalo. After a year-long post-doc at Fordham, Sanford went on to teach at The Franciscan College of Steubenville for 13 years before joining the University of Dallas as Dean of the Constantine College of Liberal Arts. A few years later, he served as Provost.

The Department of Philosophy is very proud of his fine achievements.
