Art @ the X: Celebrating Women

Three weeks ago, Art at the X: Celebrating Women opened for viewing the Cohen Center Gallery. Funded by the Xavier Women of Excellence (WOX) Giving Circle, this exhibit of 57 pieces was chosen from more than 200 submissions from across the country.
Juror, Cynthia Amneus notes that each submission, in its own way, reflects, “truth about what is to be WOMAN.” With each piece chosen, Amneus sought to include works that inspire, “reflection, compassion and action for the greater good.”
Following the closing of the exhibit this Friday, September 20th, ten pieces have been chosen for purchase by Xavier University. They will be displayed around Xavier’s campus for generations to come.
