Who runs this place

The events of the past several days have powerfully reminded me who keeps this university running. You do.

The staff and faculty who painstakingly planned, ran, and attended the All Honors Convocation and Alpha Sigma Nu and Phi Beta Kappa inductions last weekend -- to honor the achievements of our students.

Then there are the faculty and staff who stood in solidarity against racism with students yesterday at the walkout.

And also the staff and faculty who hosted and attended the book launch for our own David Inczauskis, SJ, author of a new book about Honduran cinema: El cine hondureño: arte, identidad y política

Not to mention all the behind-the-scenes work that our staff and faculty do simply to keep things functioning. 

Together you run this university, and for that I'm thankful.
