Xavier is holding information sessions about its multiple options for graduate nursing degrees

The sessions are being held in September and November in the Cintas Center | September 9, 2010

Registered nurses and others interested in becoming nurses can learn more about the multiple options Xavier offers to earn a master’s degree in nursing. Information sessions are being held on Thursday, Sept. 30, and Thursday, Nov. 11, from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Schiff Conference Center in the Cintas Center.

The sessions include information about the advantages of Xavier’s program for registered nurses who want to earn a Master of Science in Nursing. There will be an overview of programs and concentrations available including forensic nursing, school nurse, and nursing administration, as well as options for dual degrees such as an MBA or Master of Education.

Xavier also offers the newly developed Clinical Nurse Leader and informatics concentrations.

The sessions also include a special presentation on Xavier’s MIDAS program, which offers the master’s degree in nursing to people who hold bachelor’s degrees in other fields and are not registered nurses. Nursing program administrators and faculty will explain the full-time 20 month Master of Science in Nursing program designed specifically for non-nurses, including the application process and prerequisite course information.

More information about the graduate nursing programs is available online in the College of Social Sciences, Health and Education.

Registration for the sessions is available at Xavier’s events registration page. Registrants receive an e-mail confirmation and parking pass. For more information, please contact mcdonald@xavier.edu or call 513-745-1009.
