The Xavier University Veterans Affairs Office is sponsoring a job fair with the Loveland-based RecruitMilitary on Thursday, Aug. 26, for United States veterans and their spouses.
The "Recruit Military Opportunity Expo" is free and runs from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Great American Ball Park, 100 Joe Nuxhall Way, Downtown Cincinnati. Veterans and their spouses may interview with national, regional and local employers, as well as learn about entrepreneurship and educational opportunities.
Xavier’s Veterans Affairs Office is committed to educating and supporting military veterans and their dependents. As a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium, Xavier joins colleges and universities that are dedicated to helping active-service military members and veterans and their families get college degrees.
Xavier provides extensive financial aid resources and support, including educational benefits specifically for veterans. Xavier also participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program which covers the tuition and fees of fully eligible Chapter 33 "Post 9/11" GI Bill students. This includes both undergraduate and graduate students who are fully eligible.
In addition, fully eligible students receive a monthly housing stipend and a yearly stipend for books. For more information on all VA benefits for veterans at Xavier, including educational, housing, medical and jobs, visit the Veterans Affairs Office web site or contact Dave Keszei, at 513-745-3620 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
