Xavier Players and MadCap Puppet Theatre present "Tales of Flight with the Brothers Wright"

First show of the Hats Off series premieres during Reunion Weekend on Saturday, Nov. 6, and Sunday, Nov. 7 | November 4, 2010

The Xavier Players, in collaboration with Madcap Puppet Theatre, presents Tales of Flight with the Brothers Wright on Saturday, Nov. 6, and Sunday, Nov. 7. Directed by John Lewandowski, artistic director of Madcap Puppet Theatre, this is the first show in the season’s Hats Off series and takes place during Xavier's annual Reunion Weekend celebration for alumni.

The play allows audience members to take part in Ohio’s aviation history with an adventure featuring the famous Wright brothers, Wilbur and Orville. Imaginations take to the sky as the Wright brothers become the first in flight with dreams of wings and flying machines. Their tale interweaves with the Greek myth of Icarus as he flies too close to the sun. Because the Wright brothers dreamt big, their big dreams require big execution, and Madcap’s giant puppets are the perfect way to bring this tale to life.

Show times on Nov. 6 are at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and on Nov. 7 at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tickets cost $7 each and can be purchased online or by phone at 513-745-3576.
