The Castellini Foundation is making a generous donation to The Xavier Launch-a-Business Competition.
The Foundation, Xavier University and the Williams College of Business announced today that the funds will pay for the initial costs associated with the X-LAB executive director, other key X-LAB personnel and administrative expenses.
Representatives made the announcement at a program honoring the eight winners of the first X-LAB Competition, which is run by the Williams College of Business.
The Foundation was represented by Robert H. Castellini, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Cincinnati Reds, Chairman of the Castellini Group of Companies and a Xavier University Trustee, as well as Phil Castellini, Chief Operating Officer of the Reds, who has been a member of the Executive Advisory Board of the College’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Ali Malekzadeh, Dean of the Williams College of Business, thanked the Castellinis. “Xavier University has benefitted from their generosity for decades, and several generations of students, faculty and entrepreneurs will continue to benefit in the future,” Malekzadeh said.
Neither the Foundation nor the University is disclosing the amount of the donation.
