Books by Xavier alumni are featured in the 6th Annual Books by the Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival

The festival takes place on Saturday, Oct. 20, at hte Duke Energy Convention Center downtown | October 15, 2012

Five Xavier alumni are among more than 100 national, regional and local authors and book illustrators who are featured in this year’s 6th annual Books by the Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival.

The daylong event is Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati from 10:00-4:00 p.m. Books will be available for purchase and signing by authors.

There will also be a wide variety of engaging book discussions and panel discussions by authors featuring popular topics such as cooking, history, sports, local travel, fiction, children’s and teen literature.

The Xavier alumni and their books are:

Jinny Berten ’61 - Cincinnati Christmas.
Robert Flischel ’72 - Messages of Glory: The Narrative Art of Roman Catholicism.
Sandra Gross ’97 - Toast to Counting.
Michael Martini ’87 - Lunken Airfield.
Chuck Sambuchino ’03 - Red Dog, Blue Dog.
