Art at the X national juried show features 50 pieces of art from artists nationwide

Art at the X, a national juried competition that opened Aug. 26, at the Xavier University Art Center in the A.B. Cohen Center on campus, concludes on Friday, Sept. 23. A special day of viewing on Saturday, Sept. 24, for Smithsonian Viewing Day takes place from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

The exhibit features 50 pieces of art selected from 136 submissions by artists from across the U.S. and Canada. It was judged by Deborah Emont Scott, director and CEO of the Taft Museum of Art. Scott reviewed the entries and selected a winning entry and several for awards of merit.

The exhibit is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The gallery is located at 1658 Herald Ave. Admission is free. For more information, call 513-745-3811.
