Modern Languages Co-sponsors "White Rose" Exhibit

Focuses on Nazi Resisters in Germany | September 6, 2011

The Department of Modern Languages is collaborating with the Office of Interfaith Community Engagement and many other campus organizations in the hosting of a photo exhibit commemorating the Weiße Rose, a group of University of Munich students who formed a non-violent resistance movement to the Nazi regime in 1942. The students were executed because of their work denouncing the killings of Jewish citizens and dissidents and the war initiated by the Nazi terror regime.
