Xavier offers special pricing to fill the stands for women's basketball team's final home game

Dollar tickets and dollar treats are being offered to fans | February 14, 2011

On Feb. 23, the nationally ranked Xavier Musketeers women’s basketball team plays its final home game against George Washington at 7:00 p.m. in the Cintas Center. To honor the team's for its winning season, Xavier is offering special pricing in an effort to fill at least the bowl of the Cintas Center with supportive fans.

Tickets for this game are specially priced at $1 each. Hot dogs and popcorn are also $1 each. This means a family of four can enjoy the game and have snacks for less than the cost of a single ticket to a popular movie. Plus fans can experience the excitement of a live basketball game featuring one of the nation’s best teams.

Dollar tickets are available for purchase one hour before the game on Feb. 23 at the Cintas Center box office. A group rate of $4 per ticket is available in advance by calling 513-745-3378.

Show your support and appreciation for the hard work of these talented and dedicated young women. This is the last home game for four senior players:
• Megan Askew, a 6’ guard from Pickerington, Ohio, majoring in communication arts, with minors in business and history.
• Special Jennings, a 5’6” guard from Cleveland, majoring in sport management.
• Amber Harris, a 6’5” forward from Indianapolis. She graduated in the spring of 2010 with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and is currently pursuing a degree in criminal justice.
• Ta’Shia Philips, a 6’6” center from Indianapolis, majoring in entrepreneurial studies.
