Message to Early Childhood Education Graduate Students from Student Representative

October 14, 2010

To all graduate students in the early childhood education program:

Hello! My name is Amy Kerr, I am serving in the Graduate Student Association as the representative for the early childhood education program. I am in my first semester at Xavier and will be starting the early childhood cohort program this May.
As graduate students, you are all members of the Graduate Student Association. The GSA meets once a month, usually on a Friday evening for about 1 hour, and then members usually go out for dinner afterwards. This group serves as advocates for graduate students, plans activities for graduate students, communicates important information, and holds one major event each year.
Throughout the year I will send you e-mails letting you know about events we are putting on and any information that could affect you. In turn, please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or issues that you would like the GSA to address!
If you are interested in being active in GSA our next meeting will be held November 5th at 6:00 PM in GSC room 214.
Additionally, all graduate students are invited to join the Graduate Student Association for s’mores and more! This event will take place in the Cohen parking lot (inside Cohen in the event of bad weather) from 5:30-6:30pm on October 26th. We will be making s’mores and hot chocolate and providing an opportunity for you to meet fellow graduate students from all programs at Xavier. This is event is free and all you need to bring is yourself- we hope to see you there!
