Unique Xavier T-shirt helps raise more than $7,500 for the homeless

Annual design of X Shirt is kept secret until the beginning of the academic year | July 11, 2008

Sales of the X Shirt for 2007-2008 have helped raise $7,545 for the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless (GCCH). The X Shirt is a line of annual collectible T-shirts designed by a team of campus representatives and students, including members of the Student Alumni Association and X-treme Fans.

Designs are kept secret until the unveiling at the beginning of each academic year. This is the second X Shirt. The first X Shirt helped raise more than $6,500 for Matthew:25 Ministries in 2006-2007.

The X-Shirt for 2007-2008 featured five decades of different logos for the Xavier Musketeers, starting with the iconic 1930’s silhouette.

The T-shirt is 100% cotton, printed by Jansport, and comes in sizes S to XXL. Youth sizes are also available. It costs $15.00 and is available at the Xavier Bookstore located in the Gallagher Student Center, online at www.xavier.bkstr.com or by calling 513-745-3311.
