Reid Faylor off to Aspen to Compete for Country's Funniest College Student

Reid Faylor, the Xavier University sophomore from Ft. Wayne, IN, headed out around 5:00 a.m. today for Aspen to participate the RoofTop Comedy Funniest College Student in America Competition. The final round is this Saturday and you can still help insure Reid’s win by voting online.


The competition can be viewed online at from about 8:30 till 10 p.m. Cincinnati time Saturday at and voting goes on for a half hour starting at about 10, though it could be earlier depending on when the contestants finish.  To watch and vote for Reid, visit this site:


"I'm a bit nervous but quite excited all in all,” Reid says. “Will I win? Maybe. Maybe it will just be a moral victory, which, hey, that's alright too. I'll appreciate any support I can get. Either way, I'm pretty sure this will be relatively incredible."


32 schools from around the U.S. battled it out to find the funniest college students in the country. It's down to four stand-up comics at the Aspen finals for the Funniest College Student title. Reid joins Kathleen O’Brien of the University of Virginia, Tim Ball of Duke and Mary Sasson of UNC Chapel Hill. A live broadcast of the Aspen event can be seen on One of the Aspen Four will be named the winner and receive $1,500.
