Jesuit MBA National Day of Service provides outlet for community outreach

Xavier joins 27 other Jesuit MBA programs around the country | April 8, 2008

The Williams College of Business hosts its second annual Jesuit National Day of Service along with 27 other Jesuit MBA programs around the country on April 12 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. This year's community outreach focuses on Cincinnati children, with activities such as a sporting equipment drive and rehabilitation projects at St. Francis Seraph School in Over-the-Rhine and St. Francis de Sales School in Walnut Hills.

The Jesuit National Day of Service is one of many service opportunities for Xavier MBA students and alumni to get away from their office-to-classroom routine and give back to the local community. In addition to the Jesuit National Day of Service, Xavier MBAs have advocated with neighboring communities Evanston and North Avondale for continued home ownership and housing development, participated in United Way projects with the Hamilton County Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and Resident Home Corporation, United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cincinnati, Beech Acres, and the Organ & Tissue Donor Awareness Program.
