Concert choir prepares for seven-concert winter tour

Opening concert takes place at the Basilica in Covington | January 5, 2007

The Xavier University concert choir is hitting the road this month for a whirlwind seven-concert tour that covers five states. The concert choir, under the direction of assistant professor of music Tom Merrill, is comprised of nearly 50 students. The singers are presenting music from their annual Lessons and Carols service, including a newly commissioned work by Cincinnati composer Howard Helvey. Other composers featured on the program include Eric Whitacre, Stephen Paulus and Gwyneth Walker.

All of the concerts are free and open to the public. All performances start at 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise indicated. The concert dates are:
