Parent, alumni volunteers cover more than 170 college fairs across country

Application numbers continue to grow as office of admission adds personal touch | October 26, 2005

Volunteers for the Parent and Alumni Recruitment Team (PART) have been working hard this fall to promote Xavier University by attending college fairs in their hometowns and information sessions hosted by the office of admission.

This year, PART volunteers have covered more than 170 college fairs across the country. Application numbers continue to grow, and first offers of admission are being mailed by Jan. 15, 2006. The office of admission hopes to offer a personal call to each accepted student from one of the parent volunteers.

Plans are also underway for events in different cities throughout the United States that give accepted students an opportunity to meet one another and members of the Xavier family who live in their area.
